CLARITY - THREE

Today we ask the archetype of

The Empress

to provide us clarity.

Widen your perspective.

Be with the images for a sec before you look at what they mean to me. Your own clarity, your own voice. Let the images speak for themselves.

Pictured are samples of this card from several decks. My own watercolor interpretation on the left and then cards from my collection ( left to right top to bottom); The Illuminated Tarot by Catherine Keegan, Modern Witch Tarot by Lisa Sterle, Klimt Tarot by Lo Scarabeo, Zillich Tarot by Christine Zillich, 5ct Tarot by Madam Clara, White Sage Tarot by Theresa Hutch, Ridder White Golden Deck

“It is not what you look at that matters, it is what you see”
— - Henry David Thoreau

Here is what I think… The Empress receives. She is (definitely a she) the highest symbol of nurturance, fertility, and beauty. She asks us what gold we spin from wool and how we make life from death and destruction. Deeply connected to the Earth this a grounding card that wants us to hold and amplify life with the tools of our own creativity and warmth.

  • nurturance

  • caretaker parts

  • fertility and creativity

  • receptiveness

GERMINATE the question.

The empress asks…

What did you grow?

Today is a great day to take your question for a walk. Get out in the world and let the clarity bloom.

Beautiful things comfort; they bring a real clarity and ease. We have to continue to make our environments beautiful - it’s sort of like a prayer. If you surround yourself with beautiful things, you have a better life - one with more oxygen.
— Anjelica Huston

BE CLEAR WITH YOURSELF.

In your journal, write about what you created this year.
If you feel like drawing a picture of something from your walk earlier, this would be a good idea!

TAROT BONUS: If you have a tarot deck and want to explore more about the empress in certain areas of your life, look at the minor arcana threes.

3 of pentacles for clarity around work/money/family - What gave you pride and joy?
3 of swords for clarity around mental issues - What kept you stuck?
3 of wands for clarity around creative and spiritual things- What required faith and patience?
3 of cups for clarity around love and connection- Who were your best creative partners?
