“It is not what you look at that matters, it is what you see”
— - Henry David Thoreau

Here is what I think…The lovers card asks us to stop that self-driven grind and notice what (or maybe who) is right in front of us. Look at the other person in the room, be transfixed by their beauty. See the sunset for what it is, a masterpiece of reflection. How fortunate we are to not be alone on this journey. The lovers card is point us not towards romance, but rather towards true an genuine human connection.

  • reflecting the good

  • connection

  • you are not alone

Meditate on the question.

The Lovers ask…

What has made you feel connected and seen?

*guided imagery is not universally appropriate and sometimes it can be activating for those whose nervous systems hold trauma. Please be gentle with yourself. If it works for you, do it. If not, do what does.

That inner voice has both gentleness and clarity. So to get to authenticity, you really keep going down to the bone, to the honesty, and the inevitability of something.
— Meredith Monk

BE CLEAR WITH YOURSELF.

In your journal answer about which people this year have had the biggest impact on you.

TAROT BONUS: If you have a tarot deck and want to explore more about how love and relationship has shown up in certain areas of your life, look at the minor arcana sevens.
